This department covers all of the music and performing arts at LTHS, as well as other community or recreational arts events. The department head and producers in this department provide support for all of these shoots, and they gather information about the performances that is relevant for the production of the event. This department would also seek out new opportunities to cover music at LTHS and in the community. The department head in this position would likely spend 1-2 hours per week fulfilling his or her duties.

LTTV has a great tradition of covering the performing arts at Lyons Township High School. These include most of the major band, orchestra, and choral performances, as well as the annual Eurythmics show. Recently, we've added more to our coverage, in part to the growth of support for the performing arts. Some of the special programs we've produced include Poetry Out Loud, Tens by Teens, the Homecoming Variety Show, and the Save Darfur Benefit Concert. One of the biggest highlights of the year for our coverage of music is Brownstock, the all-day rock concert of student bands at LT.

We look forward to producing more of the performing arts programs at LTHS and becoming more involved with them this year.
