LTTV covers a large number of events that take place outside of Lyons Township High
School or are sponsored by area organizations. We also cover things that originate
at LTHS but are intended to reach out to the entire community. Below are some examples
of community programming that we've covered or produced in the last couple of years:
Western Springs Youth Football, the Park District of La Grange's series "This Old
Warehouse", La Grange Park "Music Under the Stars" summer concert series, various
parades, musical performances at area elementary and middle schools, VFW talk shows
and documentaries, La Grange Park's "Party in the Park", and benefit concerts for
local organizations.
We also produce a couple of programs on a regular basis, including
"The Inside Corner",
"A Walk in the Park", and
"Book Talks".
You can click on any of the above
program titles for more information about these shows.
One of the biggest events covered by LTTV that originates here at LTHS is Rock-a-thon,
the annual fundraiser for WLTL. In 2007, we expanded our coverage of WLTL's Rock-a-Thon.
Last year was the first year that LTTV covered this huge event. Parker Warf was the
student producer of LTTV's coverage this year, and we added more cameras, new graphics,
and more video content than ever before. We also utilizied a second production truck,
courtesy of Comcast, which enabled us to add a whole room for music performances and
other activities. Overall, Rock-a-thon was an amazing 88 hours of live television.
